(Note: If the wills become more complex then My Lawyer in Spain SLP reserves the right to increase costs and any increases will be agreed with you based on an hourly rate of 250 euros plus IVA at 21%. The fees do not cover any courier or travel expenses we may incur attending appointments with you, all of which will be agreed with you before being incurred).

Description

A member of our experienced team of English qualified solicitors will review your submission and identify if there is anything unclear in your wishes which could cause problems for your heirs in the future. You will need to attach a copy of your passport.

Once reviewed, one of our legal team will prepare a draft will for your approval. We will send you the draft document for your approval with guidance as to what you will need to do next.

    Annual NRA Filing & Renewal

    • The filing must be submitted every February, covering rental activity from the previous calendar year.
    • For the first reporting cycle, relating to rentals carried out in 2025, the filing window runs from 1 February to 2 March 2026.

    You are required to file the annual NRA report if your property was assigned an NRA during the previous year, and the obligation applies even if the rental activity was limited or irregular.

    Digital Certificate

    With your Digital Certificate you’ll be able to apply for certificates confirming you are registered at the town hall on the census (certificado de empadronamiento); present tax returns; register your property for holiday rentals; apply for planning permission; communicate with town halls; and liaise with the traffic department.

    Generally, all communication with the Spanish authorities is via your Digital Certificate.
