Advice about Moving to Spain after Brexit
Many of you have been asking what the situation is after the United Kingdom left the European Union for their move to Spain.
We were delighted to take part in this webinar organised by A Place in the Sun with Charmaine Arbouin the British Consul for Andalusia and the Canary Islands and Brett Hansen of Blevins Franks. We answered the questions you submitted beforehand.

Hello
Great webinar and really enjoyed it …..one question if you take out health care in Spain and you still entitled to health care in uk
Hello Christopher
All visa applications for Spanish residency for Brits now require private medical insurance. Best to purchase from a Spanish provider and in answer to the question, yes if you have private medical insurance here you could still use NHS in the UK.

Hello Alex. I watched the webinar this week which was excellent. I have a scenario which I don’t believe was covered.
Myself and wife have 2 children under 7. We own 2 UK businesses, 1) a UK Law Firm and 2) a UK family mediation business.
We would like to move to Spain but continue to be paid dividends and salary from these businesses. Which visa would be required which covers remote working in this way?
Also, as a lawyer yourself do you know what opportunities there are for us to act for Spanish residents in matters arising from UK property? We could go one step further and open a Spanish branch office of our law firm if there was good reason to do so. Anything you can help with is welcomed.
Hi Elliot – Thanks for your message. We have responded by email to you.
